Roulette For Beginners

By: Wes Young

If you aren't a roulette player, but have walked past a busy roulette wheel in a casino, you may have wondered what all the excitement and commotion was. There is definitely something almost magical and mesmerizing about the spinning wheel and sound of the Ivory ball clinking around and finally settling into one of the pockets. Here is an introduction to the game of roulette for new players.

There are two different types of popular roulette wheels. The most common wheel in the United States is a double zero wheel called American roulette. The American roulette wheel contains the numbers 1 through 36, a 0 and a 00. This creates a house edge of over 5%. The wheel that is most common worldwide is a single zero wheel that is usually called a European roulette wheel. They contain a 0 and the numbers 1 through 36. The house edge on a European wheel is about 2.5%.

You can place a wide range of bets on each roulette spin, offering a wide range of payouts. Here are the most common bets and payouts.

Straight / Single number 35 to 1
Split / Two numbers 17 to 1
Street / Three numbers 11 to 1
Square / Four numbers 8 to 1
Line / Five numbers 6 to 1
Line / Six numbers 5 to 1
Column / All 12 numbers 2 to 1
Dozen / ex 1thru 12 2 to 1
Odd Even Black or White 1 to 1
High (19-36) or Low 1 to 1

With the growth of online casino play, more and more people are playing roulette online. One of the biggest drawbacks for the online roulette player is the bonuses offered by most casinos can’t be cleared playing roulette. Remember to always read the terms and conditions of any bonus before accepting it.

So if you have always wondered what all the excitement was about, step up to the nearest roulette wheel and place a bet. Good luck!

Some common sense tips for the casinos

by Gavin Bloeman

As the owner of the popular UK casino review website, InternetCasinos.co.uk and an avid player myself, I have learned a few valuable lessons while playing over the years. Whether you prefer to play at the 'bricks and mortar' type or the many online casinos around today. Here are my golden rules of gambling, most of which can be considered common sense, but if followed will help you go a long way to leaving (or logging off) with a smile on your face.

Rule one:
Go into a casino with a set amount that you are willing and can afford to spend - imagine you're on a night out; work out what you'd spend on booze, nightclub entrance fees (and kebabs of course) and stick to that amount.

Rule two:
Don't take your cash card out with you - or any means of drawing cash out for that matter. Don't worry about money for the taxi if you lose it all; most taxi drivers, especially the ones booked through casinos, will take you home and will be more than happy to wait for the cash when you get home.

Rule three:
Stick to an upper amount. I always imagine what I'd like to buy should I win. The last time I went, I decided I'd quite like to buy a new digital SLR camera and I quite fancied which which retailed at £550, so that was my upper limit. As soon as I reached that amount, I quit. You should too. Just quit. Even if Mystic Meg herself approaches you with the next number for the roulette wheel, ignore her and leave. Leave safe in the knowledge that you will be going into town the next day and getting yourself a nice new, (and effectively free) toy!

Rule four:
Enjoy yourself. When you're "buzzing" (as a good friend of mine enthusiastically puts it), you will win. It's a fact. I don't know why, but it just is. As soon as it becomes a chore, or you are only playing to make money you have lost, you will lose more. When you're winning, having a good time with your mates, or your girlfriend, you will win more and more

Last but not least, good luck!

Gambling legality basics

Author: Mansi gupta

The gambling scene in America can be traced back to centuries. Gambling has remained to be a part of the American dream life ever since the inception of lotteries in New Hampshire. The history of American gambling can be broadly classified in two. One relating to the games which come from the legacy of the Indian tribes who used to play some recreational games for amusement to monetary exchange .

Millions of dollars exchange hands at the gambling tables and it is a major source of revenue for more then half of US states. Internet has played an important role in popularizing gaming and making it reach the deepest of the people. Casinos, which can be seen over half of America, are the main centers for gambling in America. They are making a lot of money and the business is seen to be a prospective venture. States which are minting money out of gambling are becoming a source of inspiration for the others to follow. Thus it can be said that gambling in casinos is now not confined to Las Vegas Nevada. Gambling is present all over America and is steadily on the rise.

The holistic approach to maximize out of gambling has given rise to complete townships that cater to the needs of the gamers. Now the cities are coming up with a complete set up casinos, entertainment parks, luxurious hotels, fabulous restaurants and many other peripherals to make them complete. These are the most sought after destinations of the avid and new both types of gamblers.

A gaming commission set up in each state regulates this business and thus there is a eye watching them. But gambling has found its way bye-passing the rule of law. Charitable gambling is common place and is at equal level with the conventional gambling. Every city once in a while organizes a raffle or any bingo event. The charitable boards and commissions take care that the charitable gaming organisations do not loose their track and stick to their purpose

But internet gambling or technically called as “off shore” gambling is taking big strides in America. Although the US justice department has pronounced as an offence but there is no explicit action that lies against the offenders. The internet gambling is a worse form of gambling as it has its reach in to the deepest of territory. The addicted gamblers find easy access to the gambling sites. The law also cannot take a firm stand as there is no law governing such misuse of gambling as of now. There are severe researches going around the country to find the economic and social impact of gambling. The law needs to be codified and has to be brought within the framework of the legislation.

The gamblers and the gambling promotional companies have come up with cruise gambling. It is a two way beneficial method for the gamblers. First of all it attracts much higher number of people due to the extra special features of such tours. Secondly it takes the scene of gambling in to the waters of the country. This has made it difficult for the legislators to make a complete law on this issue.

Having set many commissions and boards to monitor gambling, the governments is trying to do the best it can. But as long as it is fetching revenues to the states gambling is here to stay in America.

Virtual Poker Tells: How To Win Playing Online Poker

By: J Finney

Many experienced live poker players rely on “tells”, an action by the opposing players that will help tip their hand. I am sure you have seen players wearing sunglasses at a live poker game, this isn’t due to the bright lights in the casino, it is avoid any chance of another player picking up on a widening of the eyes or any other habitual gesture that will give away a strong or weak hand.

There are a few virtual tells that can help tip the hand of those you are playing against. A beginners tells are always easiest to spot. They will bet with a weak hand and hold with a strong hand, taking note of their behavior early will help you take later hands. Once you have spotted a beginner at the table you can use their behavior to help build the pot on your strong hands, allowing them to try their strategy on your refined play style and maybe helping fish in a few players along with him. An ideal situation would see you at an online table surrounded by novice players all using the same tactics to help build the pot for you!

Speed of play is another factor to help you spot the tells of other players. Quick bets are often a sign of weakness while a delayed bet is a sign of strength, Typically the delayed bet tells you the player is calculating his strategy for his big hand. Always try to make a note of the hand a player hand when he quick bet and what cards he held when he made a series of slow bets.

Auto Plays are another ways to sports virtual tells. Online casinos make use of check boxes such as “fold”, “raise any” or “call any”. You can spot auto plays as the bet comes in seconds after the player before him. What should you be looking for? “Raise Any” bets denote a strong hand, “Check” denotes a weak hand while “Call Any” will usually denote a player waiting for the miracle hand. As with other strategies discussed here you should follow this behavior for a few hands and be aware of betting patterns of certain players. Novice players may be using the “Raise Any” checkbox to scare away other betters and trying to take small pots.

While tells are never an exact science, they will help give you an advantage at theonline poker table, where every little advantage makes your game stronger.

Blackjack Is Like A Rollercoaster

by David Walker

Blackjack is a game that reminds me a little of a rollercoaster. It is a game that starts slow but gradually gets faster. As you build up your bank roll, you feel like you are getting to the top of the coaster and then when you least expect it, the bottom falls out.

Blackjack is so much like a rollercoaster the similarities are frightening. As with the popular fairground ride, your blackjack game will peak and things will be going well for a while before it bottoms out again. You have to be a player that can adjust well to the ups and downs of the game because the game of blackjack is full of them.

If you like the small coaster, one that doesn't go too high or fast, then bet small. If you find the only way you can enjoy the ride is with a larger bet, then hop on board for the ride of your life on the monster coaster. The high roller will love the view from the monster rollercoaster because he or she is not thinking about the drop as they rush head first to the top of the game.

A win goal and a loss limit works well in blackjack, but very few gamblers adhere to it. In blackjack, if you "get on the rollercoaster" as it's going up, that's terrific, but when the cards "go south" and the coaster starts to flip and turn, you had better bail out in a hurry.

If you don't, you will not remember how much you enjoyed the view while your bankroll was "up". The only thing you will remember is a lot of uncertainties, a thrilling ride and your head in the clouds. As you are reminiscing on "what ifs" you won't remember how "high up" you went but you will remember that devastating drop as clear as day.

Blackjack can be a very beatable game. It is a game of highs, a game of lows and where it stops is entirely up to you and how well you can predict whether to get off the coaster or continue the ride.

To Gamble Online Or Not To Gamble Online - That Is The Question

Autor: Ace Blackwood

Compared to a real casino experience, here are some of the considerable pros and cons of online gambling:

Pros of Online Gambling

1. Hot Offers

As a competitive business, online gambling can give so much to persuade gamblers. They could offer bonuses for new customers to sign up, i.e., additional 10-50% of their initial deposit to their bankroll, random deposit of money in customer accounts, and giving away vacations for particular levels of total money bet.

2. Better Rules

According to experienced online gamblers, online gambling has better rules compared to physical casinos.

3. Cozy Gambling

Of course, the online world makes online gambling another convenient way to have fun in the comfort of home.

4. Less Annoyances

Troubles with drunken people, smokers, thieves. With online gambling these real casino troubles are avoided.

5. No Tipping Obligation

Unlike playing in a real casino, you don't have to be obligated to tip the waiters and dealers.

Cons of Online Gambling

1. Patience is a Virtue

Cashing out can be a bit tedious with online gambling compared to real casino gambling. One may be prompted to wait for about 2-4 weeks for cashing out. With this in mind, the use of debit card is advised since with it, it is a lot faster to make your credit appear.

2. Customer Service Boo-Boos

Depending on where you play, you don't have that face to face confrontation power with the online gambling site. Some sites may offer toll-free calls and e-mail correspondence. But these are prone to delays compared to just talking to the casino manager or something to that effect.

3. Online gambling casino calls the shots

With online gambling, the player may have to deal with the casino's word as the final word when any dispute surfaces.

4. Credit/Debit Card Overuse

Your ability to balance your credit or debit card statement might fail with online gambling because of the temptation to play at a lot of places.

5. Inaccurate transaction documentations

Transactions don't usually have the name of the casino you played at but instead only the merchant bank is identified.

With this information, weigh the differences as to whether you prefer to do online gambling or not. As long as you don't get too hooked up on it and you're enjoying yourself, go ahead get a feel of the online world of gambling.

There is a say: "The only way to make money in casino, is to stole it!" But don't belive it! You can really earn serious money in online casinos...

The only sure way to do that, is to become casino's partner. If you want to know, how to do that succesfully, check: Secrets of Casino Best Affiliates

Online Sports Gambling Laws

by March Madness Brackets

Prior to delving into the world of sports betting online, many people stop to wonder if they are breaking any state or local laws. In most states, and even the federal government, have legislation about whether its legal or not to gamble online.

Who Regulates Sports Betting?

The regulations of gambling in the US were entirely discretionary per state until recently. The start of online gambling created confusion about jurisdiction. Who runs the laws of cyberspace? Most current gambling laws were meant to apply to general gambling laws, long before the internet existed. Thus the application of those laws to online gambling are open to broad interpretation.

US Regulation of Sports Betting

Most people ask "Is it legal to run a ports betting operation offshore and take action from clients in the US?" The US will most likely argue it is not legal. However, no bills have yet been passed to prevent any such activities from happening. In recent years, attempts to pass bills of this sort have failed.

The government has placed responsibility of gambling legislation at the hands of individual states. Some states have considered legalizing online gambling but have failed. Some states also have added legislation that prohibits the advertising of online casino (Illinois is one such state).

Only three states - Nevada, Louisiana and California prohibit citizens from betting beyond state borders. Such laws are loosely enforced. In fact, most states consider gambling violations misdemeanors with the majority focusing on operators as opposed to the gamblers themselves. To avoid breaking US laws, most internet sportsbooks are located offshore in foreign countries along with their servers!

To be clear, the US government has been trying to pass legislation to deal with the regulation of online gambling. But, because there are so many grey areas regarding who has authority over cyberspace activities, these attempts have been unsuccessful in passing. It's becoming clear that the US will not be able to effectively legislate online gambling as of now but that's not to say what the future may hold...

So, Can I Bet Sports Legally?

The simple answer is there is an explicit law against online betting in only three states - Nevada, California, and Louisiana. Even so, NO American citizen has r been arrested for betting on the internet as of yet. Again, that's not to say what the future may bring...

Winning Strategies For Top Gambling Games

by Joaquin Reveron

If you are like most gamblers, you play many different casino games. Sure, you probably have your favorite, but you most likely sample other games. Knowing how to play a casino game is only the first step in the winning equation. To have a shot at hitting it big or winning over time, you need to know some tricks to the game. In this article, you will learn some solid tips for various casino games--Blackjack, Craps, Roulette and Texas Hold'em Poker.

Blackjack Tips

Tip One: Doubling Down on 11

You've probably heard it before, "Always double down on 11." If the total of your first two cards is 11, you should "consider" doubling down. However, it should not be an automatic move. If the dealer's up card is a ten, you might want to reconsider that move. It's usually best to simply hit when the dealer has a ten or face card showing.

Tip Two: Taking Insurance

If there's only one thing you remember from this article, let it be this; never ever take insurance. Insurance is a sucker's bet. Some "very conservative" players will take out insurance if they have a twenty. However, if you are this tight with your money, the casino is the last place you should be at. Don't take insurance--period.

Craps Tips

Tip One: Don't place prop bets

The area in the center of the Craps table is the proposition area and that's where the casino makes it money from Craps. All proposition wagers are sucker's bets. Sure, it can be fun to hit them, just understand that you are being cheated out of value and the probability of hitting these bets is very low.

Tip Two: The Field is not your friend

When you walk up to a craps table, the field bet might be one of the first areas on the layout you notice. It is very large and has all sorts of lovely numbers in it. The field is a one-roll wager and you lose when on a roll of 5,6,7 or 8. Conveniently, these are the numbers with the most combinations. The house has a huge advantage on the field, and only pays you even-money when you win--some house pay extra on the 2 and 12.

Roulette Tips

Tip One: Play European Roulette

The game of Roulette has two main versions: European and American. The European version of Roulette is far superior, because the house advantage is only 2.70%. The American version added an extra zero spot to the wheel--00. The result is the house advantage growing by almost 100%. If you are stuck with the American version, that's fine, but if the European version is available, play it instead.

Texas Hold'Em Poker Tips

Tip One: Always Raise with Top hands

There's almost no point in playing passive--especially if you are a newer player. When you are dealt AA, KK or AK, you need to raise the pot. If another player has raised already, re-raise the pot. Your raise should be at least three times the blind. As you grow up in the poker world, you will figure out your own raise amounts, but three times the blind is a good guide for initial raises.
The next time you play one of these games, keep these tips in mind. Remember, anyone can play a casino game, but not everyone can win. Increase your chances of going home a winner by following these tips and playing well.

Make Money From The Online Casino Affiliate Programs

Casinos have often been a way for local governments and entrepreneurs everywhere to earn a highly lucrative salary. Epitomised by the huge popularity and revenue of Las Vegas, Nevada in the United States, the industry has provided financial booms all over the world.

Casinos lure in customers with the promise of unimaginable wealth, amazing entertainment and the glamour and excitement that has become synonymous with the industry. Now that same excitement and huge wealth is being generated in the virtual realm of the Internet. Without the limits of space and employees, online sites have created a brand new and rejuvenated face for casinos everywhere. New games, new experiences and new opportunities have made the online casino industry one of the most profitable around. But much like the real life casinos bring in huge revenues for their surrounding areas, so have the online versions found ways of distributing and generating extra revenue.

Due to the huge boom in popularity, a similarly large number of companies and online giants have been quick to jump on the bandwagon. Due to the number of online casinos competition between companies has become intense, with each one desperate to attract new members. Some are lured by off line advertisements and huge bonus offers, but most are found through affiliate programs.

The online casino affiliate program offers a casino experience to Internet users of all levels. All that is required is a site, some space on which to place advertising and the will to market external sites. Casinos offer their affiliates a cut of the players profits that they pass on to them. Affiliates may be offered anywhere between 20 and 30% of the money a player generates during their lifetime on the site. In turn the affiliate then takes on the risks and potential gains that are associated with casinos. Whilst most will not charge affiliates when a player gains money, some will so affiliates should make sure beforehand what their situation is. Unfortunately whilst the online as well as real life casinos can create a huge amount of money through games that favour the house, because it is gambling there is also the chance of losing money.

Affiliates don't have to endure the stresses and strains of owning a casino, but still have the opportunity to earn a cut of it. If an affiliate can find a failsafe program, in which they will never lose money, there is the chance to earning some serious cash. Casino gamblers win and lose huge sums each year at the virtual tables, by joining an affiliate program any website owner can get a percentage of the casinos fortunes. Unlike the gamblers that the affiliate coaxes in, they have none of the risk or financial dangers associated with casino gaming. Just a regular income from a reliable source, which depending on the number of guests can amount to a large subsidiary paycheck.
